I recently had the privilege of receiving Unconscious Bias “Train the Trainer’ certification through the Cultural Intelligence Center with Lyla Kohistany who was outstanding in her delivery of the content. It is NOT enough to simply say we are biased; it takes thoughtful intention and actions to disrupt systemic biases of any type. The Cultural Intelligence (CQ) framework has a clear differentiation from similar training. The focus is on developing specific skills, increasing our awareness, and on practicing relevant actions to help us prevent and/or reduce the negative impacts which come from the application of bias. In this way, everyone can make a difference

I am excited to share I am starting my certification for Unconscious Bias Train-The-Trainer with the Cultural Intelligence Center! This training will empower me to run a new type of workshop: "Using Cultural Intelligence (CQ) to Manage Bias", and leverages my existing certification as a Cultural Intelligence Advanced Facilitator. My goal is to learn, develop and share the strategies we can use for minimizing the effect of bias in ourselves and others plus how to build concrete action plans for using cultural intelligence to manage unconscious bias.
